Drone Workshops & Training

Training the Next Generation of India’s Drone Professionals

BotLab conducts some of the most cutting-edge drone training workshops in India, which are tailored for students, teachers, and innovators who wish to explore drone technology right from the basics. Our offerings merge theory with the real world, thus making the participants get a deep technical understanding as well as a real flight and assembly experience.

Led by highly experienced pilots, engineers, and trainers, these workshops deliver an industry-aligned training experience using the same indigenous technology that powers BotLab’s commercial and research-grade systems.

What Makes Our Workshops Different

Our training programs stand out because they are designed by a team that builds drones, from hardware to firmware, entirely in-house. Hence, these students receive deep technical knowledge, which is significantly more than the regular drone flying classes.

The curriculum chosen is very suitable for beginners, and at the same time, comprehensive. Whether someone is a newbie or is already involved in the aviation technology field, the workshop will still provide them with the opportunity to become more practical, gain more insight, and have a better understanding through real engagement.

Hands-On Drone Assembly Experience

One of the most significant highlights of the workshop is to acquaint participants with assembling drones from scratch using BotLab's plug-and-play kits. In this case, the group will be able to work with flight controllers, ESCs, motors, frames, and sensors manufactured in India, and thus will gain insight into how each element fits into the bigger picture.

The process is done step-by-step, thereby giving the learners the opportunity to gain confidence in dealing with hardware and wiring, understanding the safety issues, and, at the end, flying the same drones they have assembled.

What the Workshop Covers

Every training session is organised in such a way that the understanding of the students gradually increases; thus, they start from the basics, and later they move on to complete system mastery.

Categories of Small Drones

Participants get to know different classes of small drones that are used in training, research, commercial operations, and flying as a hobby. The session informs the attendees about multirotor types, typical use cases, and how design choices influence performance, stability, and efficiency.

Drone Anatomy

During the workshop, the instructor breaks down the complete structure of a drone and demonstrates how the frame layout, power distribution, propulsion design, and sensor placement are done. This is done so the participants can better understand the drone idea.

Drone Components

All the components that come with our training kits and that are included in the training are extensively explained. These include frames, motors, ESCs, propellers, flight controllers, GPS modules, batteries, power modules, radio receivers, telemetry units, and other elements of the system. The main focus is on each component’s purpose, characteristics, and role in flight performance.

Functioning of Each Drone Part

Identification only is not enough; participants have to get to know how every component works, how ESCs regulate motor speed, how flight controllers stabilise movement, how sensors interpret motion, and how power management ensures safe and continued operation. This session creates an entire mental model of drone dynamics and control logic in the participants' minds.

Training for Educational Institutions

As a vertically integrated drone manufacturer, BotLab brings its high-level engineering expertise directly to academic campuses.

Our Drone Lab Program is a resource that supports institutions in developing long-term capability by setting up fully equipped drone labs. This program aims to build labs at the top institutions like IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, and IIT Madras.

Each lab is furnished with the same local hardware, software, and test systems that are used for BotLab’s real-world applications. This way, students and researchers get the chance to use a first-class UAV infrastructure right at their campus, which is the perfect bridge between academic learning and industry-grade innovation.

Who is This for?

This workshop and training module is a perfect fit for:

  • Schools, colleges, and universities
  • Technical and engineering departments
  • Innovation and entrepreneurship cells
  • Robotics and aeromodelling clubs
  • Research labs working on aerial systems
  • Students and professionals looking to upskill in drone technology.

Build Skills That Matter

The participants will have first-hand knowledge of drone systems and hands-on experience in assembly, after which they will get the courage to work on more advanced projects such as autonomous navigation, swarm technology, and aerial data applications. Their training will also be a stepping stone to participation in competitions, internships, and drone sector careers, which is a rapidly expanding industry.
